Don't know what your ambient lighting was like here but it amazes me how much light my F28 sucks in @ 2.8, I've got shots that I thought were impossible in dark museums etc.

yes, i was suprise it came out so good. i went there last time same room with the whale bones, same lighting and such, with a old sigma 28-105, f/2.8-3.5? (forgotten, sold the lens since then,) although f2.8 wide open as well, not as good as this.

more info of the pic: 1/60, ISO 800, ev-1

moreover, i had the same feeling over FA43/1.8 too, basicly pre-set ISO btn 200- 800 ceiling and forget about it.

Thank you!

It's a great lens and that big piece of glass is so pretty to look at! However, this is my most troublesome lens to focus accurately, I've had to fine tune the AF on my K20D (+8) and K-x (debug mode) and I still can't trust it 100%. (My beloved K10D cannot use the 50/1.4) No matter, I would not trade it for any other 50/55mm out there

mind is fine i was amazed i didn't had to debug it when i 1st gotten it for my K-x, i DID had to do it for the FA50/1.4 for about +180nm, which i had sold with the F-50 replaced it
