I got mine fairly recently for $350, but most seem to go for more on ebay in good condition.

Mine is possibly the sharpest lens I own Or at least up there. I wouldn't for a second call my copy soft

edit: heres one at F/2.8, MFD, full size un-edited jpeg.

Got a new 135mm!

I'm pretty excited, I got my beautiful (brand new condition, no lie) Pentax-F 135mm in the mail today, due largely to the posts in this thread. Traded a DA 70 for it, and don't regret it one little bit. I'll start out with a "family portrait", and then add a few samples that I managed to grab during my lunch break and at home after work. The quick AF and great close focus ability live up to everything advertised, I'm loving this lens... I'm also super happy with the colors I'm getting straight out of the camera. (shooting RAW with a k-x)

auto or manual focusing is ok with me. close focusing surely is something to consider.
