close focusing surely is something to consider.
lenses without good close focus tend to frustrate me... part of why I never "clicked" with the DA 70mm...

Pentax-F 50/1.4

This lens is a prized possession but as of late I've been noticing it maybe FF or BF, my K10 cannot properly focus this lens and it seems to do a lot better on my K-m... I took a couple of quick shots with the K-m and I feel better about the lens. At 100% these images look very good to me, so for now I am again a proud owner of the 50 f1.4 that delivers...

Images from JPEG's with very very little PP

A few from my F28 2.8

Just got it, amazing lens! Loving the rendering, colours and FL! Jpegs, only pp is b&w and slight shadow bump, BBQ is a crop

I have 2 Pentax-F lenses: 50/1.7 and 35-70; I use the latter more often owing to the longer DOF. I for one hate bokeh. Whenever I look at the half-blurred picture, it would strain my eyes.

Thanks!

I was looking for something around 28mm with AF but the 31 was way out of the range. I think the F28 is perfect, I have never used the 31 but I cant see how it could be that much better than this lens for the money!

F 50/1.7 (x-posted Bokeh)

Just got this lens and really cannot see a difference between the 1.7 and 1.4, this is probably sharper wide open...

I hear you and this one as far as I can tell shows no Out of Focus area...

We're in the same shoes. Prices for the FA31 nowadays is waay out of my budget that's why I settled for the next best thing (for me, the F28).

I got caught interest with the 31 when I had the chance to test it during one of the local meet we had here before. I said to myself that I want that lens or if my budget restrains me, the nearest FL to it.

My share by the way...
