True enough It does have some CA, but overall for 40 bucks I'm pretty satisfied although you have to stop it down a bit. Usually F7.1 or F8. Wide open it's a bit soft from 4.0 to 5.6. I just purchased it to see if I like the 70-210 range.

Hi

I got hold of a F lens, inspired by the posts here on the Forum. Took it out and tried it walking to job the other day. Here are two of the shots.

All taken with Pentax K-3, smc Pentax-F 1:35-4.5 35-70mm

The Pentax F 35-70 along with the 70-210 make a great day kit. I would still be using them more extensively if I had not bought into so many other Pentax lenses! They're both extremely dependable meaning OOC images are superb, color is right on and very little PP is needed. The Macro option on the 35-70 is not bad and is very portable. My only real complaint is the size and weight of the 70-210...

Couple of oldies...
