Thanks for the thread Tsuken! I've looked for a 21 club before but couldn't find one, and was to lazy too create one.

Anyways, this is hands down my favourite lens, a shot from today:

took me a few sessions of looking, and a bit of prompting, before I decided I would make one.

That’s a gorgeous photo

Very nice! The 21 has such great bokeh for a wide-angle. I originally had a SMC, but traded it on the forum for a 70. I instantly regretted it, and finally just bought an HD 21, which I now use a lot. It goes so well with the KP.

Shot with another Kp and HD 35 Ltd

It’s my fave, that’s for sure. Hence the club, and hence my “21 in 21” project: shooting with it every day this year (since I got it for Christmas).

There’s so much it does so brilliantly (it’s way better than I am, unfortunately; I guess I’d better up my skills...)

Great lens to take down to the river for the evening - both at f/8, and the second is an 11 image stitch.

HD DA 21mm Limited on K-3.

Look, the DA 21 is a birding lens! This bird was just hanging out in the sun drying its wings and didn't really pay attention to me.

I think I need to post about the great results I get with this lens on a CCD sensor. Here it is with the K200D, already posted in the CCD Club.

More from Orlando with the K-3.

These K-3 pictures took me much longer to edit and I'm not sure the results I get with the K-3 are worth the extra resolution... though now that I calibrated the K-3 with the 21, the sharpness is just staggering. I don't get anyone who says this lens isn't sharp. Before my AF Fine Tuning (I had to do a -5) it looked unsharp when pixel peeping, while still seeming in focus (the huge DOF from being a wide angle is what does that, I guess - making it still look in focus when viewing small, yet seeming slightly out of focus when pixel peeping, which at first I mistook for the lens just not being quite as sharp as others).

But I get more satisfaction out of the K200D... for sure... yet I get more detail from the K-3. I wish I could have both... (the cake and the eating...)

RawTherapee's current implementation of AMaZe demosaic'ing is so good, I don't ever apply any sharpening. If I do, any amount will make the picture over-sharpened. So the above pics from K-3 and K200D did not have any sharpening added (not even the default - it's completely off).

In those K-3 pictures, in the first two, when pixel peeping I can see the people far away, quite well... but I uploaded a lower resolution picture.

One more HD DA 21 from K200D.
