I have managed to get a little flare out of the HD DA 21mm Limited... but it's not a bad kind of flare.

I like my 21mm but it's included in the DA Limited club, so there has been a club for it for years. This "a club for every single lens" thing is getting quite tiresome.

Usually lenses that have a strong love/hate relationship end up having their own club, sooner or later... and we don't want the zoom guys to have all the fun with their "...show us what it can do" threads, now do we

And technically it's for the SMC and HD versions, so two lenses (in my opinion the optics of the HD version were tweaked a little bit to make it a tad sharper at the corners and a tad less sharp in the center, but that's a discussion for another day...)

But I see your point... I'm not the OP so I'm just babbling I guess, but everyone is free to post in this one (or not...)

More from Orlando with the K-3.

These K-3 pictures took me much longer to edit and I'm not sure the results I get with the K-3 are worth the extra resolution... though now that I calibrated the K-3 with the 21, the sharpness is just staggering. I don't get anyone who says this lens isn't sharp. Before my AF Fine Tuning (I had to do a -5) it looked unsharp when pixel peeping, while still seeming in focus (the huge DOF from being a wide angle is what does that, I guess - making it still look in focus when viewing small, yet seeming slightly out of focus when pixel peeping, which at first I mistook for the lens just not being quite as sharp as others).

But I get more satisfaction out of the K200D... for sure... yet I get more detail from the K-3. I wish I could have both... (the cake and the eating...)
Looks very sharp.

A tie for my favorite lens, with the DA 10–17mm equal in my affections…but I use the DA21mm FAR more often.

Took these two photos about 30 minutes apart:

I just got an HD copy of this lens. It's great! I'm vaguely convinced SR + higher shutter speeds in my K3iii isn't super great with it, but might be confirmation bias.

Here are two recent photos I like from it.
