Originally posted by Digitalis Yeah, I'm trying to avoid that as Bokeh can be a very subjective thing and can be quite varied in real world practical situations. The minimum focus distance of the FA31 is 0.3m, the MFD of the DFA21 is significantly closer at 0.18m. Even though the FA31 is the faster of the two lenses, this speed advantage is undercut by the differential in MFD Between the FA31 on the K-1 and DFA21 on the KP and in short - both lenses produce outstandingly good bokeh, it really would be up to a matter of subject and personal tastes.
Having said that, here is another very casual comparison:
These two images were taken several days apart so there will inevitably be some minor differences, but both lenses produce very pleasing images.
Thanks for sharing this. It is hard to believe that the FA 31 has a wider lens that produces bokeh, at minimum, as well as the FA 31. That 21 limited is probably going to be in my kit in next 2 years.
