That’s a great shot! The flare is so dynamic!
Thanks! Sometimes can´t fight them, so let they do their thing!

Thought the new raffle would be good incentive for me to go back through some older photos I liked that needed a little bit of editing.

This is one I took with the old unloved DA 50-200 F4-5.6 where I took out some extraneous stage elements and cropped in tighter.

Jon Anderson on one of the small stages at the Vancouver Island Music Festival in 2011.

Bought a DA 50-200 very cheap as a telezoom to take with me on vacation a couple of years ago. So small, light and cheap with a nice range, what's not to like? This taken with my newly aquired K70:

It has a poor reputation but it might not be deserved.

I would say it is deserved, but for something small and light that provides decent telephoto coverage it serves a purpose. I took mine on holiday once and only once, after that it was substituted for the M 135/3.5 and then the M 120/2.8. Both primes and both manual of course, but they provide much better image quality at an intermediate telephoto focal length.

smc DA 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 AL is my first and most used lens on K110D.

In good conditions, photos are very good for A4 prints, for my taste.
Here two samples at both ends, shot in JPG.
Photo #1: shiny day, f/11 and 18mm. PT is only removing fall off.
Photo #2: just after a shower, f/8 and 55 mm. PT is only light crop.
