Just saw that there's a kit lens thread. All of these were taken with the 18-55 kit lens, except the last one which was with the 55-300mm kit.

Thank you! I love that portrait. I can see the individual colors of the iris! I recropped the hawk picture to see if I could get closer to the bird itself. I don't think it lost too much IQ when I cropped it even closer.

Great shot, jbuck92, nice detail even after cropping - the 55-300 is a very nice lens. But I believe this thread deals only with the 18-55 kit lens. There's a DA zoom thread & a wildlife thread where this would fit nicely Just FYI...

You're right, it is a kit lens, it's just that this thread is for the 18-55 only. No worries
