The kit lens is great for street shots. It is small, light and covers the right range.

Kit lens

1105 second exposure.

This is the first time I've ever tried doing long exposures with stars, so be gentle

I only had time to take one shot, so im pretty happy with how it turned out considering its all a guessing game

My favorites out of a 2 hour or so walk on my 4th day of having owned the K-x.

^I'm pretty sad about this one. If I'd just taken a second one a stop or two down, the dof would've covered the whole leaf and made this picture awesome.
