Thanks guys. I am surprised at times how sharp the kit lens can be, and how decent the bokeh is - I do tend to stick to f/5.6 at 18mm and f/8 at 55mm if I want the best from it though.

Striking clarity and effective backlighting. Nice touch with the speckling debris around the moon.

Thanks!! I hope it doesn't change the fact that you like it but its the sun just after it came up over a mountain range I was at the foot of. The specs are snow crystals being blown from nearby trees.
