Love the balloon shots and the green woods looks refreshing.
Here's some local flora - hardy plants that can withstand relentless heat Mesquite seed pods and some unknown weed.

Good to see all the excellent photos people make with their (not so?) humble kit lenses

Here are some recent Real Estate Photos With the k-x Kit

Here are some recent Real Estate Photos With the k-x Kit.

I do photos for local paper, design companies, realtors, weddings and so on.
Never used a different lens; I don't have the coin right now.

I do however want to get a wide angle for the realtor photos.

Ill just keep working on my skills until I get to where I need to be.

Any comments or suggestions welcome.

Jesse

The lighting really gives this a 3D feel. congrats on either taking the time to set it up so well or for seeing the possibilities of what most would consider an ordinary display of cards. B+W and vignetting are perfectly done.

Thanks! It is indeed an ordinary game of solitaire that happened to become a victim of my playing with DoF. I find that converting images to b/w can sometimes change them in unexpected ways.

K20D + Kit Lens 18-55

After being w/o internet, I'm finally back online after Hurricane Irene went through Baltimore this past weekend. No real damage but the tree below is now split down the main trunk and I'm hoping we don't get a big gust of wind before the City can come by and remove it...

BTW - they came by at 1:25AM this very early morning to remove limb in front of house :ugh:

Glad to hear you made it thru the weekend mostly unscathed. Those split trees and limbs lying across yards & driveways are a familiar sight in my area in springtime. We sure could have used some of your excess rain out here, too - nary a drop in over 3 months Anyway, welcome back!

Great shots. They are all really phallic. Was it a phallic challenge or did they just turn out that way?
