I agree with your comments. Old painters tend to be very inspirational regarding implementation of geometry and composition in photography.

As for the kit lens, i find it useable but rarely if not stopped at f8

I almost stopped using a tripod. This camera does a great job with low light!

Kx + Kit Lens 18-55

A few photos from the "Off the Grid" Art Studios. A few years ago these little or non used but grand spaces were rented out to starving artists. This area is where the old working mills were located, nice roomy loft style buildings. But as usual, once this gained some notoriety, developers swooped down and purchased all the buildings; planning condos and eateries. After years of being self sustaining, all of the Artists were given a whooping 60 days notice to vacate. I seriously doubt this new development will start anytime soon, more likely looking at years if ever...


Getting things ready for the move out...


Commander, the Studio cat will also have to move out...
