Now, I know that some of you may have just reacted negatively to that thread title....

but some of you didn't..... I noticed, in prowling about a bit, that we do not have a lens club based on Canon lenses....

and why is that? I'm finding myself more and more brand-agnostic, mainly since I've been able to sample many different lenses and manufacturers' way of building lenses....

I know that some of you have Canon lenses and occasionally shoot with them - or even more than occasionally...

I think there should be a lens club where those lenses can be shown off....

I'll start....

in my reading across the wide, wide world of lenses, it was suggested that the Canon 50mm f1.4 LTM was a cut above the rest of the rangefinder lenses being manufactured at the time, especially of those lenses NOT being made in Germany...

ok - now that we are officially a club, some guidelines:

post only shots/images/photos taken with a Canon lens ..

it doesn't matter what camera, the only restriction is the Canon lens.....

that's it....

I have precisely two Canon lenses, both EF - a 50/1.8 and a crappy 28-90mm film kit lens - but I just got an adapter to use them on my S5, so might add some shots soon. Up to now they've only really been used on film.

I'm sure there must be people here using old FD lenses on mirrorless cameras of some sort.

How's that old rangefinder lens in use? The results look good.

other than the infinity-lock on the lens, it's a brilliant little lens....

Canon FL 55 1.2 with Meike 11mm ext tube on Nikon Z5:

This lens is a weird one.. either really soft and dreamy bokeh or really harsh.. depending on focus distance and aperture. 60cm MFD is a bit limiting without tubes.. Still my favorite vintage lens for now.
