There is a small population of introduced European Goldfinches in Canada. But they are around Montreal (So maybe I should say Quebec instead of Canada). In the US they are mostly in MA/RI, IL/WI and southern CA.

I've been seeing a few more Redpolls every day...during the Park Winter Bird count apparently they only saw two. I've had two hanging around for a while. Today, I had an actual flock of 15 plus birds.
Send the Redpolls my way please! I've yet to see one and they don't often travel this far south

Great Great Grey! "Fear of birds"? How 'bout that. I hope getting up close & personal with that owl was helpful.

Went back to where I took the shots of the GBH nests to grab a little bit of video of the nesting activities.

I also saw the Cormorants are starting to move in, this shot is with Q7 and DA*300.

The video is with the Q7 and Sigma 70-200 so doesn't natively qualify here but equivalent is 322 - 920mm so maybe we can let it slide as I thought it might be interesting?

Wow, amazing video, now all there's left to do is layer the voice of David Attenborough and you're good to go.

Aperture recognizes the lens, and Pentax includes it in their EXIF tags.

The value is '8 15'
That is a really interesting website you have there. Thanks for sharing.
Aperture isn't currently in my workflow so I am not sure I'll be getting any lens info that way. I might look a bit further into it once work settles down. We are just coming off the peak tourist season.

Three inches of slush fall overnight, the roads and Wal-Mart are empty, including employees, but Hairy Woodpeckers are dependable in their never ending search for the right suet.
