So lucky me got a 645z to try out for the next two weeks. I am busy doing a trip to the West Coast, Agulas and Karoo national parks over the two weeks.

A few testing the 645 fa 400 5.6

Great shots Philip. I look forward to your posts from this trip.

Yep, it's going up in the (f) 50's tomorrow and my bet is that we're done with frozen precipitation. It's had its moments but I'm ready to move on.
Good shooting Dave, despite the trying conditions.

Excellent catch, Rex.

It was a nice day out with above zero temperature. I went out to a local trail to check out the birds but didn't see much except this woodpecker on my way back to the parking lot.
Nice capture Swip.

This was one of the first wildlife photographs I had taken with the Ist DS after that I started to use the DS over the ME & ME Super for wildlife.

The second is with the K10D in the river valley near Hixon Creek Falls BC Canada in 2007

Welcome Ian - these are great pictures.

What, I should worry about the current exchange rate for a lens I won't buy? You're right, the government and reserve bank have succeeded in lowering the exchange rate in favour of the USD. Wish I could have visited the USA again before it happened!

Nice shooting Travis - How is the celestial telescope for finding and tracking BIF? Must be a challenge.

I managed to get quite close to a roe-deer pair. But they only allowed me to take one shot (first and last at the same time) before vanishing (obviously I should put silent shutter on the K3II feature wishlist... )

Amazing shots of cormorants nesting

A bit off topic (no 300mm lenses involved), but I know we have some real cormorant fans here so I thought I'd share this...
