Weevil, that is indeed a truly fantastic photo!

There are so many great images posted here, that I'm somewhat embarrassed to post mine among these beauties!

Nice shots!
I've got a complete series of swallows as well, Barn Swallows however.

Crazy little birds...

I'd love to see a picture of the bomb bunker itself if you can manage one?!

Very curious...

Nice shot of the frogs BTW!

Domestic bliss. I think there were young chicks, they stayed pretty close to the nest.

Timber Wolf

I only get to see these guys ever so seldom. I was driving out to a spot along the river where I take my dog for a walk. Its a very secluded spot and very few people seem to go there. As I was driving up to park I chanced upon this guy and at first glance from his coloration I thought it was a coyote but then I realized it was a wolf. Shots aren't great but he was roughly 150 yards away and shooting handheld in a hurry these were the best I could muster. These are the only 3 I could get but at least I had my camera beside me

I can't believe you had a camera close enough to get a shot... I've seen them way more than I've photographed them. We have a pack that we see signs of all the time going out for dog walks, but we have not one picture of them. Good catch.

Yes I was fortunate that the camera was beside me and ready, I had all of 15 seconds to snap the photos. Thanks for the comments

Happy to hear that--and that it's been put to use shooting wolves--never would have had that chance around here for sure ;~)

Great wolf shots! They are a very elusive creature, and it's rare to get shots like this! We have a few around here, but I've only seen one.

Derek, that last Swallow shot is amazing! Looks almost like a mirror image!
