My honest opinion, that is true...Pentax needs a lots of improvement in terms of focus for fast moving objects..Landscape and portraits..the best way to go..there are no questions.

That's why i switch to C***n for my longer telephoto reach. otherwise, i'll stuck on it.

There are few instances in Conowingo Dam that is a feeding time, i can't get a decent exposure with my K-3 & FA* 600mm with a lot of contrast in the background.

Check this out.

Depending on the continuous shooting autofocus performance of the next generation of Pentax bodies I may decide to buy a used C---- body and used C----- long len. I sense C----- used prices are more attractive than N---- I really do not want to do this and while I have much room for improvement in all phases of my photography, I feel Pentax's shortcomings in AF of fast action dwarf my shortcomings in this area.
More mega pixels, better noise performance, more fps mean very little when you cannot capture the shot.
By the way - the eagle shot at Conowingo in your link is super.

Thankyou, we have them all over the place here.

Whatever you can say about the Grackle he has presence - there's just a lot of there there.

This file was a basket case. A jpg with the DR way out of the K20 sensor DR range - was about the best I could do with it.
The K5 in RAW could have pulled it off I think.

He does have a lot of presence, and shot with a K20 very well done.

Here's the k5 at twice the ISO and even less light. Much more natural tonal and color range than anything the old K20 could do.

An hour spent watching this guy rock his hunting skills. Dragonflies and fish every single plunge. He didn't miss a beat and puts the blue herons to shame

@wildman, Greetings, I do see "Exposure: Aperture priority (semi-auto)" in exif data for that yellow bird. Any idea what is "semi-auto" stands for?

Don't have a clue.
Looked at the same file in PhotoME and it reports simply "Aperture priority"
I suspect Photoshop might have something to do with it?
