A great showcase of the 55-300 optics, and not even the HD version this time! Cool background colors too.

I took maybe about 40 photos of this to make sure I could get all of my subjects cooperating. Every time the anhinga looked my way I would take a shot hoping the turtles would have their heads out.
Hah, that look, like you interrupted something private...

You remind me of my former annual contest. Now no fruit trees. Nice images.

This is the shrimp boat docks in Galveston. After the boats are unloaded, the birds take everything left behind.

Great shots by all on the last two pages. Too many to say "great" individually. Sent likes.

Yet another image of a spoonbill, a bird that manages to be simultaneously curious and pretty.

Thank you so much for sharing this! You, sir, are a true dedicated "birder" of the highest order. Congratulations for a wonder presentation. I'm really looking forward to more examples. Perhaps a foregone conclusion, but have you considered a book on the subject? I would think it would go over like gangbusters in the birder community.... and even us who aren't as involved in that particular aspect of photography. Again, thanks .... and such top quality work!
