Your shots bring back a lot of memories for me. I remember recognizing a Yellowhammer and figuring out its song ("little bit of bread and no cheeeeze") when I was about 9 years od at a cub scout camp in Lancashire. A member of our "sparrow" family but much more colourful than most of our species!

I've honestly never seen deer swim before...
Here is one from a few weeks back, tribute to my K-30. Hopefully I'll get another opportunity like this one with K-3ii in hand.

Nice effect! Looks like hand painting artwork!

Cool! I used to help a deer in the middle of our river while we were fishing... it was confused by the many high speed boats, and was going to be hit... we forced it to do a u-turn to the shore. He was okay, but very exhausted!

Another Goldeneye from yesterday...

Fine animal portrait. We tend to test and evaluate long-range zooms at their maximum FL and overlook what excellent IQ they deliver at intermediate settings.

I must admit I'm quite enjoying having the flexability of a zoom when walking thru the bush....(mostly used my F*300/4.5 previously).... this roo just "popped up" and startled my wife when we were doing some bush walking recently....it was looking at her at the time of the shot.

Sounds as though it's useful to bring the wife along to distract the attention of wildlife, especially if you're walking the savanna in Africa hoping to see lions.

Thats 2017.... she wants to go see the Gorillas. I feel quite safe with the 150-450..... makes for a good club!

This was shot very early in the morning and being winter the sun was extremely low.
Almost too low; the reflections off the water onto the deer I really like, but it also blew out some of the details in their fur.

regardless, I'm amazed by the DA*300!

great advert for that lens!

Looking back over the last year, I realise I've hardly used my FA* 400mm f/5.6 for wildlife once since I got the K-3 - I have, ONOH done quite a few landscapes with it - and I love it for moonrises

Here is another Corn Bunting taken from the drivers seat of a car with my K-5/FA*600mm f4 ED[IF]/Kirk window mount. I'm really impressed with the old lens

Common mergansers. 150~450 + 1.4X @ 630mm, then cropped. A stretch for this lens, and I'd call the IQ marginal. Better to fill the frame with a bird.

A passerby swooped over from the Blue Ridge Parkway and descended down to the the valley below with a local seed snatcher at work. Amazed the hawk was somewhat close to focus.
