Norm - we saw and heard Red-breasted Nuthatches up north but for some reason they wouldn't come to the feeders.

Visited my new destination in Port Perry again - this time in the morning so although the light was still bright it was behind me.
More Lesser Yellowlegs:And a real bonus: a couple of this year's Red-necked Phalaropes (shorebirds that swim), way off course on their way south.:

Multiple very fine shorebird images from Jacamar.

280mm, hand held
800 ISO, ƒ5.6, AV mode 1/200s to 1/1200s

For weeks there were no chickadees or nuthatches , then all the sudden six new little ones and two new nuthatches. Skinny and scruffy looking, but definitely making a go of it.

Nice work Normhead. #5 especially is about as nice as they come.

I've been watching your DA* 200 + TC combos and you really seem to make the most of them.

Amazing shots. I just bought K-1. At the camera store they had
150-450 mm lens and I have the chance to play with it on my new
K-1. Fantastic lens. If I had extra $2500 in my pocket I would walk
away home with it 😀

They won't get the red neck until the spring and then the female will be more colourful than the male.
Wonderful shots Steven.

Very nice shot. I was deciding between K-1 and SMC A* 600mm f/5.6. Superb lens. I end up buying K-1 yesterday, but I am still gonna get
SMC A* 600mm f/5.6. .

It is so nice to out and about, if only on a limited basis. I managed to crawl into the blind, but my favourite images were all taken walking around shooting off the tripod.

K-3 and DA*200 with HD DA 1.4 TC and F 1.7x AF Adapter.

ISO 800, f 7.1, AV mode 1/200s - 1/1000s

Super images Norm. You've really got that combination dialled in, and it shows the native quality of the DA*200 that you can use it with stacked TC's and still have such good photos.
