These were taken from the drivers seat of a car with my K-5/ FA*600mm f4 ED [IF]/Eckla window mount .
That is a nice set there. Love the colors and detail that FA*600mm f/4 produces

Thank you for the kind words.

You know that things are pretty slow when you start shooting Dragonflies and airplanes while bird shooting.

Here is a set of Dragonfly. Pics from top to bottom... Full frame, more crop and more crop

K-1 and SMC A 400mm f/5.6

K-50 and SMC 500mm f/4.5..who sad that you can't take decent shots of Birds in Flight using manual focus lens

K-50 and SMC 500mm f/4.5 Eurasian Collared-Dove

Nothing as interesting as the other posts.

A green heron at the same spot as last week.

Very interesting indeed. I love the 2nd and 3rd from the top the most. I can never get close to Green Heron. Not many here where I live, tons of Great Blue Herons here.

Went out early this morning hoping to catch some Caspian terns on the beach. Saw one flew by but no keeper.
A Bonaparte Gull flew in and willing to have some pictures taken.

Quite a bit later in a wooded area, this Rose Breasted Grosbeak was munching on some berries and didn't mind me hovering around taking shots.

Missed this Bittern earlier in the morning but found it just before I left. An open shot like this is hard to come by.

That's a very nice group. Getting a bittern in the open is definitely serendipity rather than planning. Out in Oregon decades back a male bittern stepped onto the edge of the road as I was driving slowly around a refuge, then he puffed up and started calling. Only disappointment was he kept his back turned, but I got several good chromes.

The understatement of the century. Hard to come by.

Great shots all of them.

Last few days I am trying to get some flying Barn Owls shots. It is a miles of walking to find them and then hoping that
will fly the right direction, not too far, light conditions, exposure etc.
I got some today. There was this Barn Owl fighting with Northern Harrier. After little skirmish owl resumed hunting not too far front of me.
Flying directly over my head.
I was testing how K-1 with DA 55-300mm WR would works and it worked well. I was shooting in "Crop Mode" to keep shutter frame rates up.

Thank you both. Good shots are always hard to come by isn't it?

A classic batsmen `pose Sigma 150 500 ISO1000 I've become a convert to TAV mode with a reasonably high shutter speed and let the ISO go where it wants
