Man it felt good to finally take some pictures yesterday after a week of cleanup from Hurricane Hermine.
We are very fortunate as I remodeled the house 14 years ago to withstand a flood from storm surge by using all composite materials: no drywall, particle board, carpet, etc. and we are almost dry after a week of running commercial grade fans and dehumidifiers. Although we lost most of the furniture, some appliances and our vehicles there are some Families in our Neighborhood who lost everything and do not have Insurance or the means to rebuild, certainly makes you stop and think.

And here is part of my missing Tiki Torch still floating around the river.......and some birds.

Sorry to hear about you losses from Hermine. Getting out for some photography probably helps put your mind on something else.

Took the portable boat to Trap Pond early in the morning. The sun was coming up and the fog/mist was settled on the pond. I was able to approach the heron fairly close. The challenge was the need for a high shutter speed since the boat was drifting and pitching. The GBH shots were at 1/1250 sec f8 600mm the fist was iso 640 the second 1250. I use a short monopod when shooting from this boat or a kayak. Didn't see much more that morning except a turtle catching some rays.

Nice shots there.

Looks like B1-B Lancer and good old B-52. I love military planes, especially WW II, Mustangs, Spitfires, Corsairs, P-38 and on and on

One of those ancient old rescue files.
Tree Sparrow catching the last rays of a setting sun. Lighting was difficult to get right in PP as well as a busy background that I had to calm down.
Not an ideal file - the hgram was far to the left.

That is a delightful image.
