A pair of Gadwall - plain at first sight but lots of detail in the plumage.

All with the K-3, DA* 300mm and 1.4x TC

I was in Toronto but didn't manage to fine time to seek out the egret.

Reifel was one of our favourite places to visit when we lived on the Wet Coast. Nice shot of the bird.

Thanks, Albert. There were about 6 males and 3 females preening on a fallen alder over the pond. It was almost dusk under heavy overcast so lighting was not great. Yes, Reifel is one of my refuges.
