For some reason we don't get images of owls or hawks much. With the hills and trees I don't get them stationary. Sometimes a big bird comes streaking thjorughj my yard with a squirrel or something in their sites, but we just see a flash of big. Most of the time we don't get a good enough look to even make an I.D.

Another good shot of the Great Gray Owl from yesterday... (just missed a bit of its wing tip in the frame)

I tried to remove some distracting backgrounds in PP with Lr6... Hope you like it!

+1 to awesome!

Even if I had the same opportunity as you, I'd never get photos like these. I'd probably pass out first...

I went back to where I photographed the Blue Rock Thrush a couple weeks ago to have another crack at it. It was raining on the way there, but cleared up a bit once I had arrived.

Good Light was not there, but at least the snow adds a little plus!

That is an owl for the ages. No CGI master could come up with a better face.

Another stunning image. One that does not shake from your mind for many months.

Yes.

I can't claim any great knowledge or proficiency but if you want to discuss it this isn't the place, perhaps in your other owl thread.

About half an hour, would be much less if I knew what I was doing.

K-3/400mm during an interior painting break today. Focal length on Exif is incorrect/user stupidity.
