Bobolink. It was very tame that I can move very close for this photo.
Well done! I've been trying for years to get that close to Bobolinks (Eastern Meadowlarks as well, in the same areas).

I took out the Siggy 150-500 today for the first time for a looong time.
I got to the airfield too late to see any action except the last couple of planes going home.
In my haste I left K5 with SR on and also the Siggy with OS on!!!
Disaster ahead? Not on your life - I was quite pleased with how it performed.
Shutter speed toooo fast - propeller looks a bit too stationary.
With limited time and all hand held I picked up a nice selection (for me!) and AF-c (No tracking of bikes involved)

Some Brown Pelicans from a kayak outing. They didn't stay long enough to get closer.

Thank you. Yes, they are usually very skittish. Hope your luck will change soon.

Neither am I clackers. I do know that it is not a sparrow!
I have a bird identification book, but you need to know what sort of bird it is to find it in the book.
I also know that birds of prey are in one section of the book and parrots are in another, but there are a lot of finchy, sparrowy, things that you need to know a bit about before you can find the right section!
