he is the biggest Sumatran Tiger that any of the zoo's professionals have ever seen and has been put on a diet.

he isn't really fat but just a " big boy "

they hope that in 18 months or so, they will be able to allow him to " interact " with the zoo's female Sumatran tiger whose last " litter " was 3 female cubs who have been sent on to another zoo for diversity purposes.

the " hairs " on this type of butterfly drives me batty as far as telling whether I got a sharp focused photograph

______

I like how I caught the changing sun light on the female Sumatran Tiger as it paced within its enclosure in and out of the shadows cast by tree trunks

[ sorry, the last one is a wee bit short - 290 mm instead of 300 mm ]

hand held, natural light tiger photographed through strong glass window of the enclosure

Hummingbirds with the FA* 300 mm f4.5

My favorite lens. I have a M 500 mm 4.5, Tamron 300 mm 2.8, and the DA 55-300 mm Wr. None can touch it as far as quality, ease of use and sharpness.

You are tempting me into getting one. Currently one for sale over here in the UK. Cracking shot.

I liked it so much I bought another and now have 2. The second one does not have an original lens hood so I bought a screw-on type. It works fine.
