Thanks WPRESTO, This one was just slightly cropped, just to position the subject a bit better that the original... (maybe 5-10% crop of the outer edges).

sigma apo games

My shooting with the sigma apo 400mm meant that I was primed to notice examples of them in the listings. And surprise: a nice PKA example appeared up for auction as if on cue. It sat in my watch list and the bid rose steadily. Eventually went for a bit over £100 - a pretty fair price actually, but more than I wanted to pay (yeah I know call me scrooge - but hey, the plan is always for ££ to end up in the photographic kitty if resold).
I messaged the seller of a couple more examples (item # 162880247141 is one). They were the wrong mount anyway, but when I realised this was a reseller just trying to move them on - his other items were all BINS with pretty high prices - and he declined to respond when I asked why, are these hazed? well...
Then this one appeared in the listing. Is that a PKA mount? On careful scrutiny - yep: white plastic button is distinctive, plus oppposite rotation of the aperture ring to most other mounts, can just about make out the -A position. The seller could only say selling for his dad don't know nothing...
Anyway I won it and repeated a prompt to check the lens for haze (for which these sigmas are a bit notorious) with my payment. Fingers crossed...

I could be mistaken

but if anyone is interested in that lens or a similar one

they might want to look at the market place " buy/sell "

and I do mean now

BTW, I have no connection with the listed seller

There were a couple of coyotes on my walk down by the lake today. It was hard to get a clear shot through the scrubby vegetation but they weren't bothered by my very loud K-r clacking away. My K-3 is in the shop with mirror flap problems.

With the DA*300mm and 1.4x TC

Then I removed the TC because the animal was too close.

Well shot! I've always thought of coyotes as being mostly gray with some white - some different color on this one.

Thanks Chip. These had great colouring. The ones I've seen in city parks on my bike rides have been pretty small and emaciated. These were big and healthy looking. They were pouncing on voles in the snow the way that foxes do.

Very nice, I might have to book mark that somewhere for future reference.
