Well done with the RW BBs! They are flighty lively critters and exposure is always tough with them!

Coppersmith Barbet feeding taken with K5 + Sigma 500 F4.5
This nesting is so far the most daring one, the nest was at the roadside, the birds don't really afraid of human and vehicles.

Bird ID?

Usually I know my way around recognizing species, but this one I am not sure of.
Is it a Nightingale, or another, unknown to me bird?
Sadly, my K3II focussed on the tale instead of the eye in the second shot, while I am pretty sure I had the focus point on the eye...
Ah well, it's more about knowing what this bird is....

The UM said to press OK and spin the speed dial to magnify LV, but this seemed to just cycle through some different info show screens with just one magnified view, approx 2x. Am I missing something (this is in M mode, MF)?
On my K-3 it works like this. 1. Turn on LV. 2. Press OK. (Magnifies x2, or last setting). 3. Use rear dial to cycle through magnification levels (2x, 4x, 8x, 10x). (maybe you were turning the front dial instead?). Tested in M mode and MF and it works.

What's the location? Seems maybe like a Phoebe or Pewee.

20 years ago I planted various trees in the grass field behind our house. Some of them are already quite large and as we're situated close to woods, squirrels found way to our garden. As I installed there a feeder with walnuts, they keep coming almost every day (well, it even seems that they spend here most of the daylight time ). So I have to warn you: more squirrels' photos will follow .
