The last but one? Yes, a Marsh tit. Far less common than Great tit or Eurasian blue tit, well at least there where I live.

May be off-topic a bit, but how do you check that AF point in the photos?
Do one need the Pentax DCU Application fort hat or can be seen in other apps such as Lr ?

First birds with recently acquired Tokina 100-300 f4.0.
K-3 + 1.4 AW + 100-300 @ 300 / F 6.3 (or 1 stop more as I don't know if the aperture is correctly transmitted to the K-3).
Handled + slight sharpening with DCU 5.8.
Crop env. 30% except for the third image.

Beginning my journey into learning to use that lens...

nice and sharp, too. I took mine out today to experiment some more. Everything still seems fuzzy to me. Either I lack the ability to focus it (I generally stick to manual focus), or there's something wrong with the lens. Can't get autofocus to do any better, though. This one's the best of all of 'em that I took today. Same results with the K-50 as with the K-1, too.

Have you played with your cameras autofocus fine-tune? It is probably the lens but maybe setting it at one extreme or another can make it better.

In the K-1 when previewing the photos choose the screen with all the file information and there you can see the AF points. When the camera sees the subject in focus there you see a red square point, otherwise all AF points are grey (nothing highlighted).
