I can't wait to try this heavy old girl on something closer, however I'm impatient and sort of can't go out at the moment as the Mrs just had her wisdom teeth out a couple of hours ago. This was standing in my back yard, the tree is over my neighbours house on the nature strip.

Went to a wetland in the Adelaide Hills today, using the Bigma, handheld, uncropped. These 2 little fellas are tiny

I had to go back to your shots to see th offending lilly-pad. It is part of the grand scenery. Looks just great

I posted a thread on handheld focus stacking with the DA*300mmF4 and KP in the post processing forum

This is the stacked shot of a desert adapted lion that was watching a group of cyclists on a fund raiser for rhino conservation. I was the back up driver of the vehicle in the picture and it was took at respectful distance from the back of another vehicle. Another reason to have a telephoto.

Because of the hot day there was quite some atmospheric distortion visible on the Toyota

Yep. I was very lucky. The little fellas are Soo quick and jittery, not to mention tiny. I had been watching them for a while in the one spot, it was darting around like crazy in the bushes with me following it through the lens, then it pretty much posed for me for about 10 seconds right in front of me.
