As well as my D500 I still have my K-1 and many many (far more than Nikon) lenses. my use is probably 90/10 in favour of the K-1 but unfortunately there is no reasonably priced 600mm solution in Pentax mount so on those occasions the Nikon comes out.

If I remember correctly somewhere near the start of the thread it was decided all makes of camera were allowed and I'm always interested to see photos no matter where they come from.

Here are a couple of recent shot from the K-1 and 150-450mm just to balance it up a bit

That dragonfly shot is exceptional IMHO.

Very nice. RAF Mildenhall?

I miss shooting aviation stuff, might be able to get back to it next year.

A couple humming bird shots from the end of August. Both with the K-1 and DA*300. First cropped a little, second cropped heavily.

Fine shot Craig. They are feisty and lively little characters. I find it hard to capture them because they are always moving.

I think this one was defending a nest, it kept moving but stopped for a few seconds each time to yell at me. So I took a few shots and left.

Thanks, this is another shot of the dragonfly, I posted it in the K-1 section but I think it is the better of the two. BTW very jealous of your hummingbird shots, we get nothing like those in the UK and I would love the chance to have a go at photographing them.

SMC Takumar 300/4 at f 11.
I feel this Club needs some non-animal images from time to time (I posted this one before in the Takumar Club).

I can probably fulfill that need but I do like critter shots, especially since I can't ever seem to get them to cooperate.

Yes, this is great birding (bears, ...) thread, but if you get some clear skies I'm sure everybody would be happy to see your astro images here (much more interesting than my campfire photo).

If the forecast holds I can head out some Friday night to the darkest area in the Twin cites (Minneapolis/St. Paul) metro area and shoot till about 1AM Saturday morning in the park. I finally got my after hours permit so I don't have to get kicked out at 10PM anymore.

Any one else think that the top portion of the flame looks like a monk in robes blessing/waving?

Thanks! I feel the same with the dragonflys - see them around, but have never been quick enough to get a shot anywhere as sharp and clear as what you are showing.
