I was bending down to plug my power cord into a power pole (Trailer Park.... or caravan park for us down this way) when I heard and felt a swoosh... looked up and this fella was in my face. After a startled word or two... I thought I'd go and get my camera... but remembered I had my phone... so took a phone shot... from 400mm away.... so that makes it a phone 400mm shot.... so I guess it qualifies for posting here....touch screen for eye focus (sic)....

Kooky

The Kookaburra did later say if he was really trying to startle me he would have had a baby brown snake in it's beak.

A lovely little bird, nice shots.
Looks very much like a close relative of our Nankeen Kestrel, which is our smallest member of the Falcon family.

Cheers,
Terry
