Yup, the stitch is visible here, not just in the feet disappearing from that poor first bird. Nonetheless, I'm still not doing what you do with the action pano's

yeh i wanted to show i can't get it without enough separation and this was a good example.....but when there's separation i like how they turn out.....

The snow goose, Ross's goose and great blue heron all have a dark & light phase. Locally grey squirrels have a dark - actually black phase. I'm sure there are others. Just as true albinos (= no pigment, with pink eyes) can appear randomly in almost any animal. so can less extreme changes in pigmentation. It doesn't take drastic genetic alteration, just a few or even only one critical mutation.
