A short Eared Owl landed at the edge of a field just as the light was starting to drop off. Taken with my K-3ii/FA*600mm F4 ED [IF]/Gitzo 5532LS.

That's about as sharp an image can be.

Thanks. I have been looking to photograph a woodpecker for a couple of years now but never had the chance. Someone told me about a place that is not too far away that I never knew existed, I turned up and got that on the first go.

Trying to get some shots of Verdin hopping around the tree this AM, the woodpecker stuck his head out from behind the feeder and photo-bombed the shot. I thought I missed him doing that, got a chuckle when I was processing the images. K-1 + DA*300, heavy crop.

I saw them in Arizona and really wanted to get a decent shot, but wasn't able to. Well done.

Thanks. Verdin and a couple of other small birds are quickly ramping up my shutter count, I have a ton of missed images.
