Thanks, swip. May be it was a good investment to spend some time (hours) of adjusting the AF of the camera(s) to the lens?

Sitting at this desk and posting on PF I was also watching birds out on the old picnic table I use as a bird feeder. From the desk I have to shoot through a dirty two-glass window that's about eight feet away, so IQ suffers, but images aren't too bad. Taken with an Oly EM10, 300mm f4 and 1.4X.

What bird is this?
(sub-title; Des, what page of Morcombe?)

Not quite in focus I think, and the bird in bottom left corner may be a mate(?)

Tree-rat, AKA grey squirrel, one of the dark phase variations that's becoming more common.

Love the female cardinal and squirrel picture. The look on the cardinal says what is this idiot doing in reference to the squirrel, or it does to me.

Rod, the bird on the left is a Silvereye (Morcombe p.346; ABG p.486). The bird on the right is a fantail. I think it is an immature Grey Fantail (Morcombe p.300; ABG p.460) in the process of morphing from its brownish juvenile plumage towards the adult black/grey/white.

Thanks Des. I havenít seen too many fantails here, and certainly none this season. The teenage colours fooled me.
Perhaps I need a second book for cross checking.
(But then, your services are very cheap).
