Here's some shots from a recent fishing excursion. Autofocus on my DA*300 is all sorts of messed up, so I've primarily been manually focusing. Thinking it might be time to send it off for repairs :/

First try at M51 (The Whirpool Galaxy) with the SMC A* 400 f/2.8. Was actually pleased that I got it mostly in frame on the first try:

ISO 6400
f/3.5
20s (astro tracer)

Backyard birds with my KP and old reliable SMC-F*300/4.5 plus HD DA 1.4X converter. Handheld.
White breasted nuthatch, male house finch, black capped chickadee male house sparrow and a male house finch courting his mate by feeding her a sunflower seed.

Thanks. Normally they scamper to nearest cover whenever they see you coming, but this guy was very compliant.

I got about 10 feet from him and got about a dozen good shots. Pure luck really. Right place at the right time.

+1
and normally it's not only luck to get such a beautiful picture ...
Today I tried my maximum extention of my telelens - 2.4m - for a picture of the moon. The moon was quite high in the sky so the heaters of the big town do not cause so much turbulences in the air.
