K1 attached Celestron 9 1/4 inch f10 lens (2350mm f10). iso400 1/400 second
Here is my moon shot from two days ago. At this focal length, the super moon barely fits on a full frame sensor.

That's the Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector, right? Nice kit, great pic. What was your technique?

Over the past few days I've been renewing acquaintances with my Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 200-500mm F5.6 (31A), a pretty good lens that sometimes gets a bit lost among the seeming myriad of long tele lenses I own.

All of these images have been cropped by over 90% - not something I normally do, but I was interested in how far I could push things...

Yes. This is the Celestron Edge. I have it on a tracking mount. I was lazy and didn't get out my remote shutter release. I put my hands on the camera and held it steady and prayed 1/400 sec would work out.
It is a single shot, nothing in processing except a little stretching of the middle of the intensity values. No sharpening. or anything else.

Female Wood Duck [Aix sponsa] looking for an appartment for the summer... I think she's not decided yet.
I have installed that house in my backyard.

The T adapter mates to a K mount converter. No eyepiece and no lens. The Celestron edge puts out a flat field image across the whole full frame camera and the large adapters below deliver it to the camera.

Slick set up. See the photo of the setup on the first link below.

48mm T mount for Pentax K -Red - William Optics
