Pretty hard to catch these guys. They never stay in the same spot for long and have a habit of not landing in the same spot ever again, making prefocusing a challenge. Anyways, one 'keeper' from today, though I wish I had been stopped down a bit more as his beak is slightly out of focus - but then I don't like going over ISO 1600. On the plus side, there's a fair amount of detail in the feathers on his back. I'm pretty sure it's a dark-eyed junco, of the oregon type.
A 400/5.6 on K-50; f/8, 1/500s, ISO 1600
