Thanks, but I don't know, your shot is pretty decent too
Yours has sharper ducks and there was a fair amount of processing to get the most out of mine. I probably would have upped everything had I been prepared for them in flight so I could have better stopped the blur on the wings and gotten more than one where the focus was good enough.

That's a great "walk in the bush" combination. I even use it in my blind sometimes.

Nothing to write home about, but experimenting some more using CiF with the A 400... if you squint you might be able to see the swallows in these 100% crops... though to be fair they're pretty small while moving quickly and arbitrarily...

Now you've started something. I like the mottling on Guinea Fowl and they are good eating as I recall.

Snowy Sheathbill. Scavenger around seabird and seal colonies in the Subantarctic and Antarctic (seen here on the Falkland Islands).

Let me tell you how many frames of chrome film I squandered trying to get a decent image of a tree swallow on the wing.

I wouldn't even think of attempting swallows in flight on film... that's a decent amount of wastage...

Seemed to be a lack of action this evening by the birds, so I guess mountains will do instead - a bit easier to get a good focus on...

A 400/5.6 on K-50; f/11, 1/1000s, ISO 200

I like this photo a bunch, but you've got a dust spot near the top edge, right of center.
