Not a typical use case for the A 400, but there was a lack of interesting subjects in the field. (Well, the bears may have been there, hard to tell in the chest height grass...)

I haven't really noticed that... but I'll keep that in mind and will try to look at those images when subject is far, but I'd say there is no magic, all lenses I have tried so far a kinda like that ... the closer, the sharper...

But exactly, are far should that be ?

I have some shots of tree lines at the horizon at sunset I may publish...

As someone who grew up on salt water (Wet (sic) coast of Canada), I question your use of "sail". She's motoring.

Sails went up shortly after this shot and leaving port for the sea.
