SCAN from the Film Era so There's no certainty on the equipment, but most likely a Tamron 400mm f4.0 on a Pentax LX.

Thank you. When I want large numbers of chromes scanned, I have sent them to Scan Cafe. In the past, they have used a scanner, but the most recent batch indicates the "scanning" was done with a Canon Rebel 7T. Not sure how I feel about that.

Taken with the DA 55-300 PLM, some not at 300mm, some not even close....

This waS my first time out shooting with the K-3 and K-1 since shoulder surgery. The DA 55-300 is about as much weight as I can handle at the moment, 4 months gone, 4 more to go.

Backed out to show some context....

5 species, in order of capture.

Wishing you a steady and full recovery Norm! We missed our Algonquin winter trip this year so your excellent shots will have to compensate.

Thanks guys for your great comments to my previous post late last month, sorry didn't quote and thank individually, has been busy with work and family issue.

This is the only bird I shot last year.

Hi Ken,

That's a nice bird. I'm just wondering a about the photo. It looks as if the bird has been photoshopped onto the image of the rock due to some artifacts that appear around the bird's toes and the breast. Is this my monitor acting up or is this a composite image? No criticism intended, just curiousity.

all the best,
Hans
