Those images really are breathtaking. So nice and sharp, and you can see every strand of feather. The FA* 600mm really is a beast of a lens, not just in terms of weight
I went on a stroll today, the weather was very sunny, and my K10D was yearning for a bit of action
I mostly used the Takumar 135mm F/3.5 and 55mm F/1.8 (such lovely colour rendering!), but also took a break close to the water for birdhunting.
A pair of doves landed on a branch close by, and I thought they were very cute grooming and "kissing" each other. I believe I chose to focus manually due to the twigs in the foreground distracting my autofocus, so many shots were out of focus, but this one hit home.
Taken with Sigma 70-300mm at 300mm, F/5.6, 1/1500, ISO 400
And I got some very happy news: I won an auction on a K-3 ii on eBay
for a surprisingly low amount, considering the last finished auctions of said camera here in Germany.
It must be a sign - next week is my Birthday, and it is set to arrive just on that very same day, a gift from myself to myself, and I'm extremely happy about the good fortune.
