I realize I've overdosed the thread with hummingbird photos lately, so I promise this is my last one!
A bit blurry, but a nice interaction between two Rufous hummingbirds
K3iii and DA 560

Not a problem with me. I don't see them enough.

Juvenile Hooded Merganser

Lucky to catch these two shots with the K3 III and F 250-600mm.
Image is a bit shaky. Need to practice some more on handling this lens.

That is a great action shot - all the important parts are in focus - the blurred wings are part of the story!

I don't mind the dosage either, given the excellent images, including this one.

Thanks.
Usually found at Woodlands Historic Park at this time of year.
Flames, Scarlets, Red-caps, and Rose are reported to have been seen, but in fewer numbers than some years ago.
It is a large area and they can be hard to find.

Cheers,
Terry
Ok. Thanks

What a lovely bird! It reminds me a lot of the european Stonechat.

Surely this can't be one mothers offspring!?
I imagine this will be a creche of sorts, like with Eider ducks, where one female guards over the chicks of multiple females?

On the way out to get more bugs. The chicks are keeping the two adults busy dawn to dusk
