This is an excellent image (of a very nice bird), was the background so far away that it disappeared into this grey area or did you treat this in post?

Anyone here might find this if interest.

Camera Rescue out of Finland has created an outlet. There isn’t very many things that excite me in the Pentax products available but this one stood out.

A very high quality lens but it is very heavy. I use it with the 1.7x autofocus TC and they worked like a charm. This copy looks very clean.

No post processing on the background. This little chap was most confiding and happy to pop up onto perches that gave a nice clear background.

Cheers,
Terry

Well last night I was hoping to go and shoot some egrets as the night before I saw about 20 coming over the new Cedar Ave. bridge so incorrectly thought they would be hanging around there the next night when I had time. Instead there were no egrets to be found so shot this somewhat abstract possibly minimalist shot of some of the cable tensioners on the old Cedar Ave. bridge. I was on the other side of the bridge and only had my old sigma 300/4 so this was the best framing I could manage.

Very nice, I love the framing, colours and contrast between the tower and the clouds in the bottom of the photo. Just out of curiousity, did you place the watermark in the tower on purpose? I find it quite distracting (as I find watermarks in general, but here even more so). Please let me know if this is too much off topic, but I'm just curious as I've never watermarked an image of mine.

Another shot of the Scarlet Robin.
Same bird, different day.
This little chap is distinctive, having some red strands in his white forehead spot, which I've not seen in others.
K-3 Mark III, DFA 150-450 + 1.4x TC, handheld. See exif for shot details.

Cheers,
Terry

Yes, I did. This version was for IG but uploaded here by error.

I tried 4 times to make the "ig" capitals, but this software thinks it is smarter than I am.
