That's impressive for the PLM with the TC. It must have been a bright day!
Nope, it was overcast. I pushed the exposure one stop in the raw converter.

I'm impressed that the AF was so accurate.

KP + 1.4TC + 55-300PLM

Very good clean shot of a bird with a very interesting plumage. I have toyed with the idea of the 1.4x TC for some time: shots like this start me up on that all over again!! Problem is, here in the Land Down Under its price has been climbing steeply in the last 2 years or so.

Many thanks Stan. I've been using Nik Color Efex Pro lately to apply finishing touches to images processed in DxO PhotoLab and I've been pleased with the results.

Rainbow Bee-eaters.
Gorgeous image Terry. Well worth the effort.

I'm doing the same. Crescent Honeyeaters at Yanakie, Victoria (near Wilson's Promontory). These males show the prominent crescent on the breast which gives the species its name. You can also see on their faces pollen from the banksias they have been feeding on. K-S2 + DA L 55-300mm f4-5.8 at 300mm, reprocessed with DxO PL4 and Nik Color Efex Pro.

Terry - top pic! One of my favourite species. After becoming accustomed to seeing them in PNG while working there, I was most surprised to wake up one morning and hear their call, to find them lined up on the power lines outside my house by the dozens. Sadly the last two years or so, they have stopped what was an annual appearance for many years.

Another wonderful set, Des. My Melbourne friend regularly visits Wilson's Prom. I will send him a link to this set.

Many thanks Peter. I am getting significant improvements from reprocessing photos from 4 or 5 years ago - my PP skills have come on and the software is also much better.
