Heavy crop.
No idea what bird is this

It's what amateur bird watchers (that includes me ) call an SBB = small brown bird. "SBB" is a birdwatcher's equivalent of "GDYC" for amateur botanists.

NOTE ADDED LATER. Some prefer "LBB" = little brown bird.

Lots of eagles down by the river - saw close to 20, but they are surprisingly skittish...

Sitting waiting for fish.

Getting out of here.

Looks like what we would call a Cisticola, but depends on where it was shot.

Cheers,
Terry

Yesterday I had Mourning Dove in the yard. I set up in the kitchen window with the Tamron 300 2.8 and HD DA 1.4 TC stacked with my F 1.7x AF adapter for approximately 700mm 6.3, all with parts lying around my house.

Not the sharpest, but no that bad either.

Any shot you can get without leaving the house is bonus. Right now there's a momma wild turkey and three half grown young out there chowing down. But they are easily spooked so I'll just enjoy standing a meter back from the kitchen window, watching them.

KP with DA*300 images from last night

A couple of opportunities that appeared very quickly. One is the osprey with a fish in it's claws. Not a perfect picture, given the fading light. The second shot is a Canada goose making a splashdown not too far from me.
