Yeah. I was travelling premium economy but I don't think they would have allowed it. Besides, as it was I was already carrying two very large suitcases; something I normally never do.

The one in the forum is over twice the price of the one in Tokyo, which had been thoroughly checked by the Pentax service people. As much as I'd love to have it, I would seldom use it. I take my 150-450 on walks, but the 600 would mean setting up in a spot with a tripod, preferably not too far from the car! Well, unless I wanted to get a gym membership and start bodybuilding.

I walk around with mine on the tripod. I walked 6 miles to get some Little Egrets once, and a few miles on a shingle beach, that was hard going.

Backyard visitor

A wild turkey walked into my backyard so I got to practice using my F250-600 lens

I love to see the male rose-breasted grosbeaks when they are in full courting colors. Unfortunately I've not been using the bird feeders this year because of the bird flu threat.

More nice shots of this beautiful little creature!

But it is looking very upset at having its rest disturbed, Gary!

These three gulls were all at the same spot today, all unusual in their way.

Bonaparte's Gulls breed in the boreal forest, way north of here. There were about 200 young birds but just this one handsome adult.

Some Little Gulls have bred in Ontario but it's more of a European bird.

Franklin's Gull is a western bird and outside it's range here.

Another Fox this morning. K3iii/FA*600mm F4 ED[IF]/Gitzo 5532LS.

I used my K3iii/Sigma 800mm F5.6 APO EX for these.
