Nice one, Skog!
Great detail and stunning colors. This is nog good for my LBA

Last sunday was a good one, I caught this red-brested Merganser in the evening light. It`s a kind of rare winterguest over here so I was quite thrilled

Wow, stunning series, Frogfish...nr4 is awesome and I think you flashed that one, didn`t you?

Another birdy, people say it is a threathened species but I see (and hear, they are very noisy) them all the time around here:

Oystercatcher (explored)

All great shots! Frogfish.
With the winter almost upon us, all birds seemed to have gone south here in Canada.

Thanks mate ! Yes I did indeed use flash on #4 - you can almost always tell because the light gets in and behind the feathers meaning you can see every barbule in detail !

Love the Oystercatcher ! That's a wonderful shot.

Thanks Travis - the last couple of weeks have been Thrush migration time so lots of them but it's the Siberian & Japanese we really look out for ! I'll what's out there tomorrow but it may well have cooled down now (as has the weather - rain and a high of just 17C today with 12C forecast tomorrow ... brrrrrr)

Appreciated mate. See above re. Thrushes. Hopefully there will still be some activity tomorrow. More raptors perhaps (I've had Osprey, Common Buzzard, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and Peregrine over the past month - but only v.good shots of the Kestrel and decent ones of the Buzzard).

That is a nice shot of a neat looking oystercatcher. If I was there I would be working for more shots.

Thank you, traderdrew. Actually, it`s not so far away, less than an hour driving and there are lots of them and other birds. The Merganser on the previous page was also captured in that neighbourhood.
