I presume you mean redundant if you have the Sigma 500mm?
Yes, the question was about complementing the Sigma 500/2.8, right?

for all you serious birders with 500mm sigma, what lens do you compliment it with for wildlife/birding?

Would da 300mm with 1.4tc be a good companion? or a 70-200mm zoom for more flexibility?
I have a tamron 200-500/5.6 which is tripod bound and compliment it with a 70-200/2.8 with or without a TC

Like a .....

Taken on a recent trip to the city. The photo that is, we drove.

I should have used a much faster shutter speed. 1/1000, ISO400 at 600mm hand held whilst standing doesn't get the shot.

Practice makes for better photography, what more could you want.

Norm, a great combination of lenses delivering truly lovely photos.

I haven't figured out how to multiple quote yet, but I'll take this opportunity to say that there are some really brilliant photos posted on this forum.

This is the type of stuff that makes you think about what you are doing and going to be doing.

Cheers everyone.

Nice shot, iittoo! It is rare to see an owl picture where it is looking away from the camera.

Tokina AT-X F4 100-300

I can't believe I'm getting this kind of IQ from a $200 lens.
