Like a .....

Taken on a recent trip to the city. The photo that is, we drove.

I should have used a much faster shutter speed. 1/1000, ISO400 at 600mm hand held whilst standing doesn't get the shot.

Practice makes for better photography, what more could you want.

Norm, a great combination of lenses delivering truly lovely photos.

I haven't figured out how to multiple quote yet, but I'll take this opportunity to say that there are some really brilliant photos posted on this forum.

This is the type of stuff that makes you think about what you are doing and going to be doing.

Cheers everyone.

Nice shot, iittoo! It is rare to see an owl picture where it is looking away from the camera.

I can't believe I'm getting this kind of IQ from a $200 lens.

Snowy in flight

After months of encounters, finally managed to get a couple of semi-decent shots of the snowy in flight.
Hopefully I will get better ones before they head back to the Arctic.

Mandarin Duck

Showing what the Sigma 500mm F/4.5 can do. A slight halo is seen around some parts of the close-up but I've seen a lot worse from some good photographers. You don't see it on the full size image.

The full sized photo seen here:

Congrats! I recommend using Lens Align for all long lenses but it looks like you don't need to use it here. Sometimes camera lens combinations don't need any adjustment at all.

Also everyone, photograph your birds with your exposure a bit to the right. I know it slows a camera down but you just have to be careful in the field.
